Description

Bred for organic systems. Early maritime- and northern-adapted cowpea for dry seed. Small white seeds. Does not need soaking before cooking. Delicious but mild flavor and fine smooth-grained texture. Easiest of all beans I have grown to thresh and clean. Less vulnerable to rehydration or molding by rain when dry or near dry than common bean. Hold water during last month to help beans finish up and dry down. Bred by Carol Deppe.
