Description

Summertime Gold originated from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Green Giant made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005 named Sneezy F1. Summertime Gold was selected and named by David Lockwood after his daughter Summer. It is a productive mid-season potato leaf yellow variety with pale yellow flesh, and fruits are medium-large oblate with distinctive well balanced tangy-sweet taste. There is sometimes a pink blush at the blossom end when ripe. This variety is among the tallest in the dwarf families with plants stretching to 4+ feet by end of season.
