Description

Yukon Quest originated from a cross between Budai Torpe and Black from Tula made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005 named Grumpy (an F1 hybrid). Yukon Quest is an early to early mid-season regular leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium small to medium oblate pink fruit in the 4-8 ounce range, possessing a mild, sweet, pleasant flavor. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3 ft by end of season, and this is more compact than its sister variety Dwarf Arctic Rose. This variety was selected and named by project volunteer Susan Bailey.
