Description
Willa’s Cariboo Rose originated from a cross between Budai Torpe and Stump of the World made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005, named Sleepy F1. It was selected out of work toward a variety named Wilpena, as a color variant. Willa’s Cariboo Rose is a mid-season potato leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to large smooth oblate crimson pink fruit in the 8-12 oz range, possessing the same intense, balanced flavor as its parent Stump of the World. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-5 ft by end of season. This variety was selected and named by project volunteers Ted Maiden and Willa Osis.
