Description

Dark blue-green, deeply savoyed strap leaves with under- turned edges. A standout at market, where bunches fly off the shelves. There is broad consensus that this is the best flavored kale for light cooking. This is our reinvigorated strain, widely appreciated for its vigor, flavor, and hardiness. Carol Deppe has recently convinced me that I needed to rechristen this strain as our own ‘Wild Garden Lacinato’ because there is no other strain of Lacinato that looks or acts quite like it, and in fact I did at one stage allow savoyed cabbage to introgress into the population…which means I did more than reselect Lacinato.Farm Original Variety!
