Description

Sweet Scarlet Dwarf originated from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Elbe made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2006 named Tipsy (an F1 hybrid). Sweet Scarlet Dwarf is a mid-late season potato leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to large smooth oblate scarlet red fruit in the 6-10 oz range. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-5 ft by end of season. The flavor of the fruit is complex, intense, perfectly balanced, one of the best offerings of new dwarfs from the project. This variety was selected and named by project co-lead Craig LeHoullier.
