Description
Sweet Kisses’ is an open-pollinated homozygous sugary enhanced (se se) white sweet corn derived from ‘Who Gets Kissed’ (a bi-color). Moderately early variety with excellent cool soil emergence. Usually one to three good-sized ears per plant with 16 – 18 rows of large deep tender kernels—a huge amount of food per ear. Excellent flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. (A good bit sweeter than traditional corns, but with a nice balance of sweetness and white-sweet-corn flavor—perfect for those who want their sweet corn to taste like corn, not like candy.) ‘Sweet Kisses’ has a very long picking window, and holds well both on the plants and for days after picking. Delicious raw as well as cooked. Bred by Bill Tracy (University of Wisconsin, Madison), Martin Diffley, Micaela Colley (Organic Seed Alliance), Adrienne Shelton, and Carol Deppe.
