Description
Summer Sweet Gold is a reselection of the Dwarf Project release Summertime Gold, which originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Golden Dwarf Champion and Green Giant in 2005, named Sneezy (an F1 hybrid). Summer Sweet Gold is a mid-late season potato leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium large to large oblate fruit, in the 8-12 ounce range, that are a light yellow color. The ripe fruit often show a pale pink blossom end. The flavor is balanced, intense, and delicious – one of the best from our project. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-5 ft by end of season. The variety was selected for a deeper yellow color than the Summertime Gold release, and was selected and named by project co-lead Craig LeHoullier
