Description

The best of our 2013 varieties. Dark red tubers fading to yellow and later greening at the ends, a pattern that reminds us of Sockeye salmon. Partially red flesh. Very high yields and large tubers. After exposure, flavor is moderately tart and brings to mind winter squash with lemon. This was the second highest yielding variety for us in 2014 after Sunset. Large plants. Moderate flowerer. Grew well and flowered in warmer summer climates than ours as well, which is promising.
