Description
“Another wonderful surprise from the GTF pepper project, these are very early bells with thick walls, densely set onto dwarf plants with short branches. At the “”green”” eating stage ‘Little Bells’ are a ‘Transparent’-apple yellow, ripening through orange to a dark red at maturity. First fruit may be pointed, becoming blocky in following sets. A visitor has commented that these are reminiscent of ‘Jingle Bells,’ once popular, now gone. Great pepper for northern climes with short seasons. Before fall’s killing frost, we clip whole plants with remaining fruits attached, trim leaves and hang in a cool place. Fruit will continue to ripen on the stem for weeks. Mature 95 days post-trans. at OSU/Corvallis, OR. Farm Original Variety!”
