Description
Hoh is a 2016 introduction from Cultivariable. Bill thinks of it as in improved version of Bogota Market. The main claim to fame of this variety is tuber size. Bill notes that you can get some really big tubers out of this one, both long and bulky. One problem that is common among the thick-tubered varieties is that they tend to crack in wet soil. This variety resists cracking. Although it is still fairly early to sprout in spring, like Bogota Market, it stores a bit better. The flavor is mild, but not as mild as Copalis, closer to Blanca. Hoh is a fall flowering variety bred in Washington State.
