Description

Dwarf Purple Heart originated from a cross between Dwarf Wild Fred (one of the initial Dwarf Project releases) and Brad’s Black Heart, made by Vince Lavallo in 2009 named Porky (an F1 hybrid). Dwarf Purple Heart is a early-mid-season regular leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to large smooth distinctly heart shaped fruit that are dusky pink purple with a deep crimson interior. With tomatoes the 6 – 16 oz range, the flavor is rich, balanced and delicious. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-5 ft by end of season. This variety was selected and named by project volunteer Vince Lavallo.
