Description

75 days, dwarf – ‘Deaton’s Dwarf’ is a rugose, regular leaf dwarf growing variety growing 36 inches tall. The abundant medium sized (ranging from 3 to 8 ounces) round fruit are chocolate colored (yellow skin over deep crimson flesh). The flavor is mild and well balanced with both sweet and tart elements. The ‘Sneaky’ family originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Kangaroo Paw Yellow and the indeterminate variety Grozny 91. Deaton’s Dwarf was selected and named by Amanda Fischer. Additional significant contributors are Ed Fizzell, Susan Oliverson, Bill Minkey, Mike Dunton and John Dunton.
