Bred by David Podoll, the Podolls has been selecting for smooth texture, great melon flavor, juicy sweetness, deep orange color, and thick flesh since 1980. Can be grown anywhere but is especially suited to areas with a shorter growing season. Growing Notes Direct-seeding is recommended. Planting Depth: 1/2”. Plant Spacing: 1 foot in row, 3-6 feet between rows. Emergence: 5-10 days. Full sun; plant after danger of frost has passed.”
