Description

Rosella Purple originated from a cross between Budai Torpe and Stump of the World made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005, named Sleepy F1. Rosella Giant is a mid-season regular leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to large smooth oblate fruit in the 8-16 oz range, with dark crimson flesh color and a dusky rosy purple exterior. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-4 ft by end of season. The flavor is balanced, intense, and among the top of our releases. This variety was selected from exploratory work on dwarf release Rosella Crimson and named by project co-lead Craig LeHoullier.
