William Schlegel is an educator, seedsman, and botanist. He is a preservice educator working on a broadfield secondary science teaching degree and has been working in the natural resource sector for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in plant identification, rare plant botany, seed collection, native plant based ecological restoration, veg plot work and weed mapping. He has experience with USFS, NPS, USFWS, BLM, several universities and for profit firms. As an educator he loves to teach students about botany, plant breeding, seeds and the natural world. He is furthest along on plant breeding projects with tomatoes and fava beans.
