Biography

Ryan Gauvin is a farmer and seed grower based in Lorette, Manitoba, on Treaty 1 Territory. Together with his family, he operates Tiny Monster Garden, a small-scale seed farm dedicated to producing resilient heirloom and experimental vegetable varieties for northern growing conditions. His breeding work is guided by a commitment to seed sovereignty, ecological stewardship, and the belief that seeds should remain a shared cultural and biological commons. In addition to farming, he works as a photographer and researcher exploring the relationships between agriculture, environment, and knowledge.
