Description
51 days – Early and productive. Plants average about 4 feet tall and produce nice 5 inch ears that are well filled and tasty for an early corn. Kernel color is yellow with some white. When properly weeded and cared for this is a good choice for early fresh sweet corn. In 2002 the crop was planted June 17 and was ready to eat on August 1 (45 days). I would have never believed it had I not written it down! In our “cold” summer of 2009, it was planted on June 29 and ready to eat on August 17 (49 days). Not bad for an otherwise less than fantastic season. A Sand Hill Preservation Center introduction in 1999. Be prepared because this variety sells out quickly.
