Description
Fred’s Tie Dye originated from a cross between Dwarf Wild Fred (one of the initial Dwarf Project releases) and Pink Berkeley Tie Dye made by Vince Lavallo in 2010 named Messy (an F1 hybrid). Fred’s Tie Dye is a mid-season regular leaf dwarf with heavy yields of medium to medium large smooth oblate dusky rose purple fruit with distinct vertical green stripes, in the 6-10 oz range, possessing a rich, balanced flavor. Plants reach about a metre+/ 3-5 ft by end of season. This variety was selected and named by project volunteer Vince Lavallo.
