Description
85 days, dwarf — The rugose, potato leaf plants of ‘Dwarf Tanager’ reach four to five feet tall and very productive. The fruit are smooth skinned, oblate shaped, four to twenty ounces each, and bright pale orange in color. They have an intense flavor that leans to the tart end of the flavor spectrum.
Emerging from the Dwarf Tomato Project’s “Fancy” family, ‘Dwarf Tanager’ was selected and named by Susan Oliverson as a differently colored outcome found when working on ‘Dwarf Goldfinch’. Additional contributors to this release are Dee Sackett, Craig LeHoullier and Bill Minkey and it was introduced by the Victory Seed Company for the 2021 gardening season.
