Description

More compact and refined than those other fools, tightest and crisp in the head. Dark red blush and red splashes blanch to pink in the tightly folded convolutions of the heart. A brilliant actor that can stand alone on a salad plate, or stand up to bold flavors served with it. Great downy mildew resistance even under strong disease pressure, and a good choice for late summer/fall lettuce. Makes a nice quartered-head salad with tomatoes and vinegrette.
