Description

“Gales Meadow Romany – We are dehybridizing the popular Gypsy pepper. In the 4th generation, there was still some variation in shape and color; we are selecting for the appearance shown in the photo. The flavor is excellent, both in the early “white” stage and as a salmon–red orange ripe pepper. Our Hungarian customers at the Hollywood Farmers Market love it as a white pepper. It is not quite as early or prolific as the Gypsy, but adequate on both counts. It keeps producing throughout the season. We pickled some white and light green peppers, as well as many riper ones, on November 4th, the day before our first frost this year.”
